Student-led Conferences

Do you think kindergarten students are too young to lead their own Parent/Teacher conferences? Initially I was concerned whether or not they could handle this responsibility; however, I had seen the benefits of older children leading their conferences, so I had to allow my students and parents this learning opportunity. My students impressed their parents with their how much they had learned, and that they were very capable of explaining many classroom routines and concepts they'd been taught.  Below you'll find a link to a post conference survey giving parents the opportunity to give feedback on whether or not they thought this conference format met the needs of Parent/Teacher conferencing.
